Our client is the UK's leading flatbread company, and they are passionate experts dedicated to crafting exceptional flatbreads and baked goods. With years of expertise in flatbread baking, our client has transformed from a small family business into a global leader in the industry.

Our client is currently looking for a Mechanical Engineer to join their team!

Duties

  1. The Mechanical Engineer is responsible for the first level escalation of breakdowns within the factory.
  2. Working as part of the shift engineering team ensuring breakdowns are fixed promptly in line with priorities.
  3. Supporting on electrical breakdowns will be expected.
  4. Maintain and repair production equipment, with a focus on mechanical systems.
  5. Diagnose and resolve faults efficiently.
  6. Perform preventative maintenance to reduce downtime.
  7. Work closely with production teams to ensure seamless operations.
  8. Uphold health and safety standards across all tasks.

Requirements

A successful candidate must have a qualification in mechanical engineering. It would be advantageous if they had experience working in an FMCG environment.

Knowledge of bearings, pneumatics, hydraulics, and conveyor systems is essential.

Hours: 48 hours per week (Sunday - Wednesday or Wednesday to Saturday) 12 Hour shifts.
