You will be responsible for completing planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and responding to reactive tasks that come through the helpdesk.

Much of the work will take place within plant rooms and pool plant rooms, focusing on pumps, motors, and other critical systems.

This contract offers excellent long-term prospects, with opportunities for career progression into supervisory roles and the chance to undertake additional training, including an Authorised Person (AP) course and other upskilling opportunities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Undertake mechanical maintenance, repairs, and installations while adhering to safety practices.
  • Respond to and complete reactive repairs within agreed timescales.
  • Report daily to the ISS Help Desk & Technical Service Manager on work progress.
  • Work independently to diagnose faults, carry out installations, and recommend necessary spares and materials.
  • Contribute to reducing plant and machinery downtime and maintenance costs.
  • Accurately record all work details for statistical and reporting purposes.

Professional and Personal Competencies/Qualifications

  • Experience working in plant rooms and pool plant rooms, completing PPM and reactive maintenance.
  • Plumbing or mechanical qualification (City & Guilds or NVQ required).
  • Additional trade-related certifications are beneficial.
