The role offers a competitive salary of up to £49,000 or £24 per hour with additional travel allowances. You will be responsible for planned and reactive maintenance, installations, and customer interactions.

Job description

Mechanical Engineer - Greenwich – Commercial Buildings – Permanent or Self Employed (CIS) - up to £49,000 or up to £24 an hour cis

Exciting opportunity to work for an established FM Property company based in London. CBW are currently recruiting for a mechanical engineer to cover a few commercial buildings around the Greenwich/ Blackwall tunnel area. The successful candidate will be a fully qualified mechanical engineer with a proven track record in commercial/property building maintenance. He or she will be required to carry out M&E/Fabric planned and reactive maintenance across a few sites with their own van or car or foot mobile

Hours of work & Package

- Monday to Thursday - 07:30 - 17:00
- Fridays - 07:30 - 16:00
- £160 a month travel allowance
- Call out rotor 1 in 4/5 (£50 a week stand by charge for being on call, £100 call out fee for each call out and double pay for hours spent on call out door to door.

Duties and responsibilities

- Draining down vessels
- Draining down air dirt separators
- Swimming pool testing & carrying out backwashes
- Repairing Toilets and Sinks
- Unblocking Toilets
- Water Hygiene maintenance and inspections
- Pipework inspections and repairs
- Minor installation works
- Maintenance of pumps, expansions vessels, PRVs and TMVs
- Flexible in helping other trades on site
- Planned and reactive works
- Water Treatment (Temperature checks / Not dosing)
- General building fabric
- Escort specialist subcontractors

Requirements

- Plumbing qualified level 2 minimum
- A proven track record in commercial or property maintenance
- Installation experience
- Excellent customer service skills
- Honest, hard-working and reliable
