What you will do
We currently have an opportunity for a Mechanical Engineer in our Engineering department at our Hartlepool Site. Within the role, you will:

Tata Steel have committed to key investments in the Hartlepool site over the last and next 5 years. We are building for the future and investing heavily in the running of our operations. We can offer support to engineers who are also looking to develop their professional qualifications through an established, internal development centre.
You will support and drive the failure analysis processes and ensure that all engineering activities are carried out in line with the standards and strategy for the Works Area (e.g. management of spares, management of contractors, budget management, engineering standards & procedures. etc.).
What you will need
The successful candidate will have previous Mechanical Engineering experience in a high volume industrial manufacturing environment, previous hands on experience would be advantageous. You must be educated to qualified to a minimum of 2.1 BEng in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent recognised by an accredited body. Chartered status an advantage. Applicants will have an appreciation of the techniques, problems and standards associated with steel or related engineering disciplines.
