Job description

• Day-to-day technical support to Service Operations (troubleshooting).

• Customer interface for technical issues (questions and problems) related to Service Business.

• Engineering support on locally developed solutions for the existing fleet.

• Provide input in centralized processes (CIM, ECR, projects) on the existing fleet.

• Ensure deployment of technical solutions to sites.

Responsibilities:
  1. Technical support on troubleshooting of mechanical components.
  2. Act as a liaison between Service Vestas and R&D department Vestas wind system A/S to improve turbine performance.
  3. Act as a liaison between field personnel, vendors, customers, and Continuous Improvement Management/R&D.
  4. Prepare technical reports including root cause analysis for failed components (mainly main components) to improve turbine performance.
  5. Create methods of procedures, guides to aid Field Services in inspection of the wind turbine.
  6. Review work instructions, technical drawings, external inspection reports, and perform project site observations with minimal assistance.
  7. Support the legal department in mechanical technical issues.
  8. Create and deliver technical presentations to internal and external customers.
  9. Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops and reviewing professional publications.
Qualifications:
  1. Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering.
  2. Experience (2+ years) in mechanical systems evaluation of a wind turbine.
  3. Proficiency in English (written and spoken).
  4. Proficiency in Spanish (written and spoken).
