About the Company

A South London Borough is seeking an experienced Interim Mechanical Project Engineer to join the Design Service Team. The team specializes in delivering high-quality, sustainable, and innovative design solutions for public spaces, buildings, and facilities, aiming to enhance the borough's infrastructure.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the Principal Engineer in designing, developing, and managing mechanical projects.
  • Conduct calculations and analyses to establish standards and specifications.
  • Oversee project activities to ensure timely completion and compliance with design specifications.
  • Inspect project sites to monitor progress and safety standards.
  • Coordinate with team members, contractors, and clients.
  • Prepare technical reports and documentation.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
  • Project management experience is preferred.
  • Proven track record of delivering projects from inception to completion.
  • Strong leadership, organizational, and time management skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Familiarity with project management methodologies and mechanical engineering principles.

Benefits

3-month rolling contract, £250-£260 per day (Umbrella), flexible working with 1 day in the office and 4 days on-site or remote. Working hours are 7.5 hours per day, Monday to Friday.
