Job summary

Smart Managed Solutions is seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer to join our high-profile contract at Liverpool Street, London. This on-site role runs Mon-Fri 08:00-17:00, focusing on maintaining critical building systems and ensuring PPM tasks meet site schedules.

You will work with contractors and client representatives to uphold safety, quality, and KPI targets while keeping plant rooms secure and tidy on a busy London site.

Qualifications

• Formally trained in a mechanical engineering discipline to City and Guilds Level 3 or NVQ Level 2.
• 2+ years’ experience in a similar role.

Responsibilities

• Ensure that routine PPM is carried out to all mechanical plant in accordance with site task schedules and asset lists.
• Ensure that reactive tasks throughout the building are completed and be proactive in highlighting areas where improvements can be made.
• Complete and submit all paperwork for reactive and breakdown tasks and ensure compliance with contractual KPI’s/SLA’s.
• Maintain strong working relationships with colleagues, subcontractors and client representatives and ensure professional image of Smart Managed Solutions.
• Ensure that all plant rooms are always locked and are kept clean and tidy.
• Supervise and monitor sub-contractors works whilst they are on site.
• Ensure compliance with Permit to Work, safety procedures, and client requirements; promote safe practices with correct PPE and follow Method Statements and Risk Assessments.

Purpose

As a Mechanical Engineer, you’ll be responsible for ensuring all environmental conditions and critical building systems are maintained to the highest standard.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure that routine PPM is carried out to all mechanical plant in accordance with site task schedules and asset lists
• Ensure that reactive tasks throughout the building are completed and be proactive in highlighting areas where improvements can be made. These reactive calls also include concessionary stores and fabric related items
• Complete and submit all paperwork for reactive and breakdown tasks and ensure compliance with contractual KPI’s/SLA’s
• Maintain strong working relationships with colleagues, subcontractors and client representatives and ensure professional image of Smart Managed Solutions
• Ensure that all plant rooms are always locked and are kept clean and tidy

Education And Training
