Qualifications

Job description

Job Title: Mechanical Engineer

CBRE Global Workplace Solutions is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to join our team in Bishops Stortford. The role involves carrying out planned preventative maintenance and reactive works on client Heating & Air-Conditioning Systems, ensuring compliance with service levels and standards.

Responsibilities:
  1. Perform routine maintenance on Heating & Air-conditioning plant to meet and exceed expectations and service agreements.
  2. Maintain Evaporative Cooling Systems and Domestic water systems in accordance with L8 standards.
  3. Promptly address plant faults and defects to keep systems operational.
  4. Carry out maintenance on other site plant as required.
  5. Manage spares inventory to support maintenance activities.
  6. Keep detailed maintenance records using 'Frontline' task sheets.
  7. Prepare Method Statements and Risk Assessments for all tasks to ensure safety.
  8. Develop professional relationships with CBRE Managed Services staff and clients.
  9. Maintain a safe and healthy working environment, complying with all policies and procedures.
  10. Present a professional image and deliver excellent customer service.
  11. Maintain technical skills through continuous personal development.
Qualifications and Experience:
  • Good basic education with strong written and spoken English and basic Maths skills.
  • Formal training in mechanical services maintenance.
  • Basic knowledge of building management systems (advantageous).
  • Health and safety training (desirable).
  • Experience with Pumps, Motors, and Valves.
  • Experience operating Cooling Towers.
  • Understanding of health and safety obligations related to maintenance.
  • Experience working on client resident sites (desirable).
