Job summary

Accord Healthcare Europe is seeking a Site Facilities Engineer to ensure equipment is mechanically safe and fully maintained, with full GMP compliance and adherence to SOPs and safety standards.

The role focuses on achieving 100% PMI completion, following up actions, and responding to emergencies. On-call one week in four during probation and ongoing improvements across the site are key elements of the position.

Qualifications

• Qualified to NVQ level 3 or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering.
• Knowledge of cGMP, cGDP would be beneficial but not essential.
• Up-to-date knowledge of regulatory, legal and HSE requirements relevant to their function.

Responsibilities

• Achieve 100% PMI completion and escalate or close outstanding actions.
• Respond to emergency breakdowns and participate in on-call rotations.
• Identify improvement projects across site and complete 5-WHYS for breakdowns.

Job description

Reporting to the Site Facilities Engineer, you will assist the continued operation of the site by confirming all facilities equipment is mechanically safe and fully maintained, whilst ensuring that all work is performed in full compliance with GMP, SOPs, FDA, MHRA, work instructions and relevant safety standards.

• To ensure and achieve a target of 100% completion of PMIs issued by Engineering Dept. To communicate any issues that have prevented completion or achieving target.
• Take ownership of appropriate follow up to actions identified and to close off outstanding work in a timely manner. Achieve this by escalation of outstanding issues not closed, ensure spares are ordered, checking stock and planning of remedial work with Site Facilities Engineer.
• Respond to any emergency breakdowns whilst on site.
• After probation is part of an emergency callout register entailing one week in four on call.
• Actively seek to identify improvement projects across site.
• Completion of 5-WHYS for all breakdowns over the agreed time duration and timely completion of 5-WHY input.
• Undertake regular plant walks to identify any ongoing issues that may not have been raised by production. i.e. unusual noises, smells, visual checks across all areas.
• Ensure standard of organization and cleanliness is maintained in working areas and other areas of engineering responsibility.

The Person
