Mechanical Engineer - Night Shift

Location: Lincolnshire
Salary: £52,249

Excellent Opportunity for a Skilled Mechanical Engineer

We are currently seeking a Mechanical Engineer to join a fast-paced manufacturing environment. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring production targets are met by maintaining and improving equipment performance, both proactively and reactively.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Provide engineering support to the production team, ensuring timely response to maintenance needs.
  2. Carry out planned and reactive maintenance to maintain equipment efficiency and reliability.
  3. Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance equipment performance and availability.
  4. Use the PPM system (SAP) to log all engineering labour and parts usage.
Requirements:
  1. NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Mechanical Engineering (must be recognised in the UK).
  2. Previous experience in a manufacturing environment.
  3. Strong literacy and numeracy skills (National Level 2 Standard).
  4. Ability to work under pressure and manage fluctuating workloads.
  5. Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to identifying solutions.
  6. Ability to make timely decisions and take appropriate action.
  7. Good communication skills, both written and spoken.
