Job description

Trainee Mechanical Engineer

Purpose of role:

As a Mechanical Site Engineer, you will be part of a team that undertakes various mechanical based activities onsite including the installation, refurbishment and maintenance of Ventilation plant on the clients premises.

Roles and responsibilities:

  1. Assist the appointed Lead Engineer or Supervisor in site set up, material delivery and associated preparation works.
  2. Review site literature including but not limited to Risk Assessments, Operating Procedures, Record Drawings and Work Instructions to ensure awareness of all required works.
  3. Undertake mechanical based works onsite, this will be a mixture of installation, refurbishment and upgrading of HVAC systems, specifically centered around Air Handling Units.
  4. Ensure that a safe working environment is maintained at all times by following and adopting safe working practices, laws and legislations.
  5. Engage with Lead Engineers and Supervisors to develop personal and professional skillsets within the workplace.
  6. Assess quality of work against the company's operating procedures and engineering standards and report any failings or non-adherence.
  7. Report progression and completion to the appointed Lead Engineer or Supervisor.
  8. Any other duties deemed appropriate by the appointed Project Manager or Lead Engineer/Supervisor.

Salary: £22,718 - £32,600

Expected OTE Average (£31,760 - £39,120) Travel Pay Included, potential to earn more as OT is uncapped.
