Job Description

Are you an experienced Mechanical Engineer looking for a new opportunity within the Paper and Forest Manufacturing sector? If so, we may have the ideal position for you.

Responsibilities:

  1. Perform maintenance and service of equipment and locations as per the Maintenance Area of Responsibility document.
  2. Assist Area Responsible in maintenance planning and support daily activities as needed.
  3. Identify spare parts requirements and specify technical details for maintenance work.
  4. Create MRF forms for non-stock spare parts and materials.
  5. Develop Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for repetitive tasks when required.
  6. Prepare Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS) for maintenance activities.
  7. Review and update work instructions regularly.
  8. Define Maximo master data content and coordinate data updates with Maximo administrators.
  9. Create and manage Maximo data requests.
  10. Monitor maintenance KPIs and collaborate with the Area Responsible to implement required actions.
  11. Create and update work orders in Maximo.
  12. Troubleshoot issues and communicate with production teams regarding troubleshooting cases.
  13. Supervise shutdowns and evaluate work execution schedules.
  14. Inform shutdown leaders of delays or changes needed during shutdowns.
  15. Provide information and propose solutions for shutdown plan changes.
  16. Develop and implement maintenance working methods and practices within your area of responsibility.

Reliability:

  1. Participate in Root Cause Analysis (RCA) investigations as required.
  2. Implement actions from RCA within your area.
  3. Support the integration of reliability-centered maintenance programs.
  4. Identify and support development and improvement projects.
  5. Collaborate with reliability specialists and development teams.
  6. Identify maintenance improvements and prepare related projects.
  7. Review and improve Preventive Maintenance (PM) content.
  8. Develop preventative and predictive maintenance programs.
  9. Create lifetime estimations of assets and define long-term maintenance strategies.
  10. Maintain and develop long-term service plans for critical assets, including major repairs and high-cost maintenance.
  11. Maintain cost awareness of maintenance activities within your area.

Qualifications:

  • Time Served Apprenticeship with relevant experience, NVQ Level 3 / HNC/HND Degree.

Professional Experience:

  • At least 3 years supervisory experience in a Mechanical Maintenance environment.
  • Extensive knowledge of Paper and Forest Manufacturing is desirable.
