Overview

Mechanical Engineer. Location: Coleford. Contract: Permanent, Full-Time. Salary: Competitive + Excellent Benefits.

About the Role

We\'re seeking a skilled Mechanical Engineer to join a well-established engineering and manufacturing organisation based in Coleford. In this role, you\'ll be responsible for producing detailed technical and design data that supports the development and manufacture of high-quality products. You\'ll ensure that all engineering outputs meet customer, industrial, environmental, and legal requirements, while providing expert technical support across the business.

Key Responsibilities

• Produce accurate technical and design documentation in line with customer and industry standards.
• Design mechanical components and assemblies that meet quality, environmental, and safety requirements.
• Support the Engineering Management Team in achieving departmental KPIs.
• Provide technical support to internal teams, resolving issues and offering guidance as required.
• Ensure compliance with all Health & Safety, environmental, and company policies.
• Maintain high standards of documentation, reporting, and communication across departments.
• Collaborate with sales, operations, and other business functions to support project delivery.

Skills & Experience

Essential:

• NVQ Level 3 or HNC (or equivalent experience) in a relevant engineering discipline.
• Proficient in 2D and 3D CAD design (AutoCAD experience required).
• Strong numerical, analytical, and IT skills.
• Experience with documentation and technical reporting systems.

Desirable:

• NVQ Level 4 / HND or equivalent in mechanical or manufacturing engineering.
• Experience using SAP or similar systems.
