Maintenance Engineer
Cadishead, Greater Manchester

Are you a hands-on Maintenance Engineer who enjoys variety in your day and solving practical problems? I'm working with a well-established company in Cadishead who are looking to bring an experienced Site Maintenance Engineer into their team.

This is a key role within the site – not just about keeping things ticking over, but also getting stuck into improvement projects and helping to install new kit and technology to make things run better.

What you’ll be doing:

Carrying out routine maintenance on plant equipment and machinery

Responding to breakdowns, diagnosing faults, and getting things back up and running quickly

Supporting the development of the maintenance schedule to keep everything on track

Working closely with the engineering team

Spotting opportunities for improvement and suggesting practical solutions

Keeping accurate maintenance records

Ensuring everything is done with safety in mind

What we’re looking for:

HNC/NVQ (or equivalent) in Engineering

A strong background in both electrical and mechanical maintenance

Confident working with heavy machinery

A natural problem solver with a practical mindset

Someone who works well on their own and as part of a team

Good communication and record-keeping skills

A solid understanding of Health & Safety best practice
