Job title: Mechanical Engineer

Location: Bristol (3 days on-site)

Salary: Between £30-50k per annum

Job type: Permanent

Clearance Required: SC clearance minimum level

A Mechanical Engineer is needed by iO Associates to work with a leading global design, engineering, and project management consulting company in the infrastructure sector. Through the use of data-rich, virtual, interactive, and collaborative technologies, they help clients make more informed decisions for difficult jobs.

Our organisation is looking for a versatile individual who can lead and deliver a wide range of projects, from major, high-profile programs to specialised consulting, as a Senior Mechanical Engineer.

You bring proven knowledge and experience in:

  1. A mechanical engineering degree (or its equivalent) in a related field, as well as a chartership from an appropriate engineering school, or work towards obtaining one.
  2. Experience adhering to industry standards and design rules suitable for a safety-critical sector.
  3. Experience in creating design documentation, such as reports, calculations, specifications, and papers that encapsulate requirements.
  4. Previous experience in a safety-critical industry.

Responsibilities:

  1. Encourage the development of the best possible design solutions to meet the needs of the client.
  2. Provide supporting calculations to show your designs will function as needed.
  3. Write technical papers and keep them up to date.
  4. Oversee the completion of your projects in accordance with the time, cost, and quality specifications.
  5. Assist our QA process by reviewing or verifying the work of colleagues.
