You will play a crucial role as a Mechanical Engineer on the Hinkley Point C project, fully embedded into the client function. You will be reporting to the Engineering Lead , and your expertise will ensure that the mechanical equipment meet stringent safety and regulatory standards, while interfacing with various stakeholders to resolve complex design challenges.
️ Respond to general queries, non-conformances, change & exemption requests.
️ Ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulation requirements.
️ Challenge and align design decisions with project strategies.
️ Coordinate support from external organizations as needed.
️ Contribute to the resolution and closure of outstanding technical issues.
️ Assess and address technical risks within the mechanical scope.
️ Maintain strong relationships with Responsible Designers and stakeholders.
️ Report operationally to an Engineering Lead.

Essential Skills
Bachelor's/Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
Experience in mechanical design, installation, and/or commissioning.
Strong understanding of construction and installation industry standards (CDM, EN, ASME).
Ability to independently manage and escalate relevant issues.
Desired Skills
️ Experience in multidisciplinary technical environments.
️ Strong stakeholder management skills.
️ Understanding of welding techniques would be an advantage, but not essential.
️ Experience in a site-based engineering role.
