We are currently recruiting for a Mechanical Project and SME Engineer to join the team at our Linford Block Plant, located near Stanford-le-Hope in Essex. This role is accessible from Barking, Dagenham, East Ham, Rainham, Plaistow, Woolwich, Abbey Wood, Greenwich, Belvedere, Poplar, Stratford, Forest Gate, Deptford, Welling, Sidcup, Erith, Bexley, Bexley Heath, Dartford, Hornchurch, South Ockenden, or surrounding areas.
Our Linford Plant manufactures sustainable, tough, and energy-efficient aerated blocks used in homes and workplaces, making our products a part of everyday life.

As our Mechanical Project and SME Engineer, your key responsibilities include executing maintenance strategies to ensure mechanical equipment operates at peak efficiency, supporting the vision to implement World Class Maintenance at Linford. You will collaborate with production and maintenance teams to troubleshoot, improve systems, and support project engineering activities.
Your responsibilities (not exhaustive) include:
The successful candidate will support our development strategies, with experience in hydraulic, pneumatics, gears, bearings, compressed air, and plant maintenance—preferably in manufacturing, repair, or inspection contexts.
