Are you a motivated Mechanical Engineer with a passion for sustainable design and delivering high-quality building services projects? We are looking for a driven and detail-oriented individual to join our client's growing team in Manchester.
About the Role:
As a Mechanical Engineer, you will play a key role in the design and delivery of mechanical systems across a diverse range of building services projects, including commercial, residential, healthcare, and education sectors. Working as part of a collaborative MEP team, you will contribute to innovative and efficient solutions that meet client needs and environmental standards.
Key Responsibilities:
* Design of HVAC, heating, cooling, ventilation, and domestic water systems
* Produce technical drawings and specifications using AutoCAD and/or Revit
* Conduct mechanical load calculations using industry-standard software (e.g., IES, Hevacomp)
* Liaise with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle
* Support senior engineers and contribute to multidisciplinary design meetings
* Ensure designs comply with UK building regulations and sustainability requirements
What We're Looking For:
* Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Building Services Engineering (or equivalent)
* 2-5 years of experience within the building services sector
* Strong understanding of mechanical systems design in a consultancy environment
* Familiarity with CIBSE guidelines and relevant UK codes/standards
* Proficiency in design software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, IES)
* Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
