A leading water service provider is seeking a Mechanical & Electrical Technician for their Wastewater Division in Wantage. You will perform maintenance and repairs on mechanical and electrical systems, contributing to environmental sustainability. A competitive salary of up to £45,000 and various benefits, including a contributory pension and health-related perks, are offered. We are currently recruiting for a Mechanical & Electrical Technician to join our Wastewater Division, based at Wantage Sewage Treatment Works.
You will use your mechanical & electrical knowledge and experience to inspect, maintain, fault diagnose, test, install, modify or repair mechanical plant and associated electrical equipment in a safe, efficient and timely manner with minimum supervision to help keep our sites operational for our customers.
This is an excellent opportunity to make a real difference to Thames Water's environmental impact by helping to reduce pollution from our sites.
Base Location: Wantage - OX12 0DL
Working Pattern: 38 hours, Monday – Friday 7:30 am – 3:36 pm. Standby and overtime opportunities can increase earnings by £8,000–£10,000.
All PPE and tools are provided.
Qualifications: You must have a previous electrical apprenticeship, ONC/HNC in engineering, NVQ, or C&G Level 3 in Electrical Engineering with upskilling in mechanical (NVQ2/3) as crucial.
