You are the kind of person who is a natural problem-solver, takes pride in your craft, and enjoys continuous learning.

Essential Skills & Qualifications
  • NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
  • Proven heavy maintenance experience in industrial or capital equipment.
  • Practical knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, and braking systems.

What you will be doing
  • Preventative Maintenance: Carry out planned maintenance activities to ensure the long-term reliability and safety of the fleet.
  • Reactive Maintenance: Diagnose and repair complex mechanical and electrical faults to minimize downtime and keep operations running smoothly.
  • Operational Excellence: Adhere to rigorous engineering standards and procedures, maintaining a clean and safe working environment at all times.
  • Data Management: Accurately record all maintenance, defect, and repair information to support ongoing fleet performance analysis.

You will work on a 4-on, 4-off shift rota (2 days, 2 nights), with 12-hour shifts from 7:00am–7:00pm. This pattern gives you consistent long breaks between shifts, allowing plenty of time to rest, recharge and enjoy life outside of work.

You must also pass pre-employment checks, including a Drugs & Alcohol screening and a full rail medical.
