About Diamond

Diamond Light Source is the UK’s national synchrotron, a large scientific facility producing intense beams of X-rays, infrared, and ultraviolet light. Our scientists study a wide range of subjects, from new medicines to advanced engineering and technology.

We are currently upgrading Diamond with Diamond-II, which will include new machinery, beamlines, optics, detectors, and computing enhancements, maintaining our position at the forefront of scientific research.

Engineering Opportunities

We are seeking talented Engineers for upcoming roles, including:

• Senior Mechanical Project Engineer – Salary circa £50-£60k
• Senior Electrical Project Engineer – Salary circa £50-£60k
• Electrical Design Engineer – Salary circa £40-£45k
• Mechanical Design Engineer – Salary circa £40-£45k
