About The Role

We are recruiting Mechanical/Electrical Engineers to join our expanding team at our site in Scunthorpe. The successful candidate will work on a rotating shift pattern, including mornings and afternoons. The salary ranges between £39,000 and £42,000.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Carry out planned and reactive maintenance.
  • Provide rapid and professional response to breakdowns.
  • Fault finding, including PLC troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining equipment and plant across all engineering disciplines to minimize production downtime.
  • Perform root-cause analysis for technical and process issues.
  • Support and implement improvements in safety, technology, and processes.
  • Use the CMMS system (Shire System) to record all work activities.
  • Proactively contribute to the success of the business with a positive attitude.

About You

Desired Skills and Knowledge:

  • Minimum Level 3 Qualification in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (Required)
  • 18th Edition wiring regulations (Desirable)
  • Experience in electrical maintenance within an industrial environment, preferably in woodworking or FMCG sectors.
  • Understanding of PLC systems.
  • Ability to work well under pressure.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Continuous improvement mindset.
