Overview

Are you an experienced M&E Engineer?

If so, we may have a role which is suited to you as we are recruiting a HVAC-biased M&E Engineer to join our facilities management team.

  • Salary: £35,131 or £40,401 per annum, depending on experience
  • Door to door pay
  • 25 days annual leave, plus bank holidays
  • Additional earnings available through enhanced overtime rates
  • 4% bonus, subject to achievement of targets (historically paid out)

Responsibilities

You’ll be out and about on the road travelling to sites for planned maintenance (PPM) such as water hygiene checks and emergency lighting monthly flash testing. As well as PPM, reactive M&E is a key aspect of the role, this could include general plumbing, basic electrical tasks through to fault-finding on BMS and HVAC systems, amongst others.

You’ll enjoy working autonomously, where you will be responsible for delivering planned and preventative maintenance, fault finding and repair work. Ideally, you will have the ability to confidently carry out a range of other mechanical tasks as well.

Qualifications

To be successful you will have:

Essential:

  • C&G 2382/BS 7671: 18th edition
  • F-Gas qualification (C&G 2079)
  • NVQ or equivalent in a mechanical or electrical trade
  • Full Valid UK driver’s license
  • FM or Maintenance experience
  • Strong communication skills and work ethic
  • Willingness to learn and develop
  • Awareness and knowledge of health & safety
  • Confident when using phone, tablet in daily tasks
  • Flexible working

Desirable:

  • Working knowledge of HVAC
  • CSCS/ECS site safety card
  • IOSH working safely qualification or equivalent
  • Heating systems knowledge and experience
  • C&G 2391 Electrical inspection and testing
  • PLC and controls knowledge
  • HWSS/Unvented hot water systems
  • L8 (Legionella awareness)
  • Emergency lighting knowledge and experience (BS 5266)
  • Water regulation training
  • Access equipment training (i.e. IPAF, ladders, PASMA)
  • Basic generator knowledge
  • Basic drainage experience

Other Information

  • The role will involve working 45 hours per week, Monday to Friday
  • The role will also involve working 1 in 4 weeks on call
