Daniel Owen is proud to represent a social housing company in Essex seeking a Mechanical & Electrical Compliance Manager to join their team.

The successful candidate will be an experienced M&E Contracts/Compliance Manager responsible for minor and major works operations across various building Mechanical & Electrical maintenance activities for multiple clients and contracts.

Responsibilities include:

  • Managing minor and major works operations across building Mechanical & Electrical maintenance activities, ensuring full supply chain management to meet business objectives and customer needs.
  • Overseeing approved contractors, including procurement, commissioning, appointment, and management in line with company policies and contract terms.
  • Enhancing the efficiency and quality of repairs and maintenance services, maintaining a strong reputation with customers and stakeholders.
  • Ensuring accurate cost management, including project costs and claims recovery.
  • Reviewing and authorising sub-contractor payments within delegated authority.
  • Recording work-in-progress, conducting inspections, and implementing safety and improvement measures as needed.
  • Providing timely reports on project performance, including service indicators, progress, and budget adherence.
  • Staying updated on contract management practices, standards, and legislation to ensure compliance and best practices.
  • Representing the company in stakeholder communications and acting as stand-in for the Head of Minor Works and Compliance when required.
  • Developing innovative solutions to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance quality and customer experience.
  • Promoting a strong health, safety, and well-being culture, prioritising the safety of staff, customers, and the public.
