Salary/Rate: £450-£680 day rate

Company Introduction:
Our partner is seeking a Mechanical or Electrical Based Construction Manager to oversee the successful delivery of the Bexhill-on-Sea Hospital project. This pivotal role requires an experienced construction manager with a strong background in either mechanical or electrical systems, to ensure the smooth progression of works on-site, with a focus on safety, quality, and cost control.

Job Responsibilities/Objectives:

  • Project Oversight: Lead and manage all mechanical/electrical works on-site, ensuring the project runs smoothly and in accordance with budget and schedule.
  • Quality Assurance: Ensure that all mechanical and electrical systems meet the highest standards, adhere to industry codes, and comply with health and safety regulations.
  • Health & Safety Compliance: Conduct regular health and safety checks to ensure adherence to site safety protocols and mitigate potential risks.
  • Progress Reporting: Report regularly on project status, including any delays, risks, and changes to timelines.

Required Skills/Experience:
The ideal candidate will have the following:

  • SMSTS (Site Management Safety Training Scheme) Certification
  • Black CSCS Card (Essential for site access)
  • Mechanical or Electrical Qualification (eg, HNC, HND, or equivalent)
  • Proven record managing mechanical/electrical systems on large-scale construction projects.

Desirable Skills/Experience:
Although not essential, the following skills are desired by the client:

  • Projects in healthcare or hospital construction projects.
  • Strong knowledge of construction protocols, site management, and project delivery.
