Carmichael UK are seeking an experienced MEP Project Manager to join the delivery team on the prestigious HS2 project in Buckinghamshire. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in the coordination, planning, and delivery of Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing systems within one of the UK’s most significant infrastructure programmes.

As an MEP Manager, you will oversee the design coordination and implementation of complex MEP systems, ensuring works are completed safely, on time, and to the highest standards of quality and compliance. Acting as a vital liaison between architects, engineers, contractors, and clients, you will help ensure that all systems operate efficiently and align with sustainability and energy efficiency goals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and coordinate the design, installation, and commissioning of all MEP systems.
  • Oversee planning and delivery to ensure alignment with project specifications, budget, and programme.
  • Collaborate with design and construction teams to ensure seamless integration of MEP works into overall project design.
  • Review and approve technical documentation, drawings, and method statements.
  • Ensure all installations comply with relevant codes, standards, and HS2 requirements.
  • Manage subcontractors, monitoring progress, performance, and quality.
  • Promote best practice in health, safety, sustainability, and innovation across all MEP activities.
About You
  • Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, or Civil Engineering (or equivalent).
  • Proven experience in a similar MEP Management or Project Management role on large‑scale civils or infrastructure projects.
  • Strong technical understanding of MEP systems and multidisciplinary coordination.
  • PMP certification would be advantageous.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Must hold a CSCS White or White / Yellow AQP card (minimum requirement).
  • Full UK driving licence required.
