In this role, you will be designing mechanical components and assemblies. Team members are encouraged to challenge established thinking and share ideas to foster an environment of shared success.

What you will be doing:

  • Develop layouts and schemes for mechanical assemblies and parts.
  • Take ownership of your projects, highlighting risks and opportunities to the Lead Mechanical Designer.
  • Provide complete information for production processes, including materials, techniques, and quality requirements.
  • Support the design group to meet overall performance and delivery targets.
  • Provide guidance and support to Graduate Mechanical Designers to ensure best design practices.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in Formula 1 or top-tier motorsport is essential.
  • Proven experience in a mechanical design role, including chassis, suspensions, brake ducts, and hydraulics within motorsport industry.
  • A degree in Engineering or a related discipline.
  • Proficiency in CAD software, preferably CATIA 3DX, with a track record of producing accurate and efficient designs.
  • Thorough knowledge of mechanical manufacturing, materials, and analysis.
  • Clear and concise communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to prioritize in a time-pressured environment and manage personal deadlines.
  • Self-motivated, innovative, and comfortable working independently while meeting challenging deadlines.
  • Strong IT skills, including MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Contribute positively to an open and inclusive culture.
