Job description

We are looking to recruit on behalf of our client, a Lead Mechanical Draughtsperson, to join their existing team on a permanent basis.

The ideal candidate will have a Mechanical Engineering Degree / HNC, mechanical experience, and some knowledge of fabrication would be an advantage.

The main duties of the role will include:

1. Checking and approving design definition models, manufacturing drawings, and ensuring quality and consistency of all detail definition output.
2. Managing subcontract detail design from a technical aspect to be effective and efficient.
3. Ensuring drafting work uses the correct information to produce design definition (e.g., design intent, standards).
4. Ensuring Product Definition meets Fit, Form, and Function as defined in Design Intent.

This is a permanent role with some scope for hybrid working for the right candidate.
