Job summary

Ernest Gordon Recruitment in Worksop is recruiting a Mechanical Design Technician for material handling equipment. The role offers training on Tekla and a salary of £40,000 - £45,000, plus holiday, loyalty bonus, and progression opportunities.

The successful candidate will work with an established manufacturer, taking concepts from site surveys to detailed manufacturing drawings, and will travel to customer sites across the UK for surveys and data collection.

Qualifications

Experience in material handling equipment design.
Background in creating manufacturing drawings and general arrangements.

Responsibilities

Working with engineering to develop bespoke design solutions for material handling and steelwork projects.
Attending customer sites across the UK to survey and gather information for designs.
Producing General Arrangement drawings and detailed manufacturing/fabrication drawings.
Designing and detailing conveyors, chutes, hoppers, silos, tanks, ductwork and material handling equipment.
Producing drawings for primary and secondary structural steelwork, including staircases, platforms and access steelwork.
Producing 3D layouts and models of manufacturing plants and material handling systems.
