Mechanical Design Manager

What you'll do

• Lead the development of Cat A & B mechanical designs, giving you full ownership to shape standards and deliverables with your expertise. Create detailed drawings and specifications, keeping your skills sharp with hands-on design work.
• Oversee external design consultancies and guide junior staff, expanding your leadership experience. Work closely with project managers and site teams, gaining a wider view of how designs are realised on the ground.
• Support procurement and liaise with suppliers, providing insight into the commercial side of projects.
• Mentor junior staff to help shape the next generation of engineers while building your own coaching skills.

What you'll need

• Mechanical Engineering or Building Services qualification (HNC, HND, or degree)
• Experience in fast-track CAT A and CAT B design and build fit-out projects
• Proficient in AutoCAD, with experience in IES, Hevacomp, and design calculations
