We are currently seeking a highly motivated and skilled Mechanical Design Engineer to join our client's growing engineering team based in Warrington.

Our client specializes in providing innovative Mechanical Handling, Machinery & Heavy Engineering Solutions for regulated industries, with an emphasis on nuclear technology.

Key responsibilities of Mechanical Design Engineer:

As a mechanical design engineer, you will be responsible for conceptualizing, designing, and developing machinery that meets industry codes and standards within the nuclear sector. You'll work closely with other engineers to ensure designs meet all regulations while creating reliable systems that can perform under harsh conditions.

Qualifications & Skills Required:
  • Degree (or higher) qualification relevant to Mechanical Engineering
  • Proven experience working as a Mechanical Design Engineer
  • Full design lifecycle experience, from concept through manufacture and commissioning
  • Experience in designing Machinery, Mechanical Handling Systems, Hydraulics, Heavy Fabricated Structures, Landing Gear, Complex Mechanical Assemblies, Bulk Handling Systems, Oil & Gas Engineered Systems for regulated applications such as Oil & Gas, Energy, Heavy Engineering, Pharmaceutical, Mining, Process Industry, Aerospace
  • Experience using 3D CAD, FEA Analysis Software, and Hand Calculations for validating designs (stress & structural calculations)
  • Knowledge of British and European Technical and Legislative standards

Additional skills include good communication skills (written and verbal), problem-solving, and the ability to handle multiple projects with attention to detail throughout each phase.

Salary Expectations:

The position offers a salary up to £40,500 plus benefits such as ongoing training and support from experienced professionals. The role is commutable from Warrington, Liverpool, Preston, Manchester, Bolton, Widnes, Atherton, Eccles, Sale, Northwich, Salford, Crewe, Chester, Runcorn, Wigan, & St Helens.
