Are you experienced in mechanical design within an engineering or manufacturing environment? Are you seeking an exciting opportunity within a leading manufacturing company that offers hybrid working, comprehensive training, and development into project-based roles?

Due to ongoing growth, our client is looking for a design engineer to join their team and develop project management skills. The role is based near Saffron Walden. The successful candidate will manage projects for customers across the UK, liaising with clients as well as design, projects, and manufacturing teams. You will design bespoke, special-purpose equipment for various industries such as defence, construction, medical, and manufacturing. Experience with AutoCAD and Inventor is preferred, but full training will be provided if necessary.

The Role:

• Develop project management skills alongside design expertise
• Use AutoCAD and Inventor, with training provided if needed
• Design bespoke, special-purpose equipment for sectors including military, medical, and construction

The Candidate:

• Mechanical design experience in manufacturing or engineering environments
• Ability to pass security clearance and hold a British passport
• Ability to manage budgets
• Within a commutable distance to Saffron Walden
