Job summary

Quest Global Services is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer for aerospace/defense sectors in the UK. You will execute design and development tasks for structural and rotating components, develop test rigs, and create tooling.

Strong GD&T knowledge and 3D CAD skills are essential as you work with suppliers through manufacturing and delivery phases. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, interpret engineering analyses, and contribute to NPI programmes while presenting findings at

Qualifications

• Experience in mechanical design for aerospace/defense.
• Development of rig, test enabling hardware, or tooling design.
• 3D part modelling and drafting.
• In-depth knowledge of GD&T, manufacturing methods and process selection.
• Design for manufacture and assembly.
• Ability to interpret stress and strength reports and analysis results.
• Preparation and review of design definition reports.
• Vendor interaction during manufacturing and delivery, including non-conformance management.

Capable of technically executing design and development projects, ensure compliance with gas turbine and aerospace industry standards, collaborate with cross-functional teams in requirements capture and execution, stay updated on emerging tools, technologies, designs and manufacturing methods. Seasoned problem solver, conduct analyses and contribute to innovating in gas turbine New Product Introduction (NPI) programmes. Education Requirements:

Degree or equivalent experience gained in an engineering discipline (aerospace, aeronautical, mechanical) advantageous.
