Job summary

Energis Recruitment Ltd. is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer for a manufacturing client near Portadown. A graduate engineer with ~1 year of design experience will develop products to meet distributor and customer requirements.

Role involves using 3D software to update designs, creating BOMs, and conducting validation testing. You will liaise with production and suppliers locally and overseas while contributing to design discussions and documentation.

Qualifications

• Third level Engineering qualification, ideally with ~1 years previous design experience within heavy engineering / manufacturing.
• Proficient in Solidworks.
• Excellent communications skills.
• Proficient with MS Office applications.
• Able to work independently or in team environment.

Responsibilities

• Utilise 3D software to update designs and create new design concepts.
• Design in accordance with appropriate guidelines and legislation.
• Participate in concept and design discussion meetings.
• Utilise the design document management system.
• Create BOM’s and assembly instructions.
• Conduct validation testing.
• Liaise with production staff to aid manufacturing.
• Assist with provision of technical information and advice to sales, after sales and end customers.
• Visit suppliers and customers both locally and overseas.
