Thrive Trowbridge are delighted to be working with our client in the Cheddar area who are actively looking to recruit a Mechanical Design Engineer (Solidworks) on a permanent basis.

What you will be doing:

• Producing Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams, layout and general arrangement drawings
• Development of a 3D library for standard items
• Liaison with clients on design details
• Quality control and checking of manufactured designs

What you will need to succeed:

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Design Engineering (or equivalent)
• Excellent IT skills including SolidWorks and AutoCAD
• A good eye for detail and the ability to solve problems
• Ability to work under pressure and to deadlines
• Excellent communication skills as you will be dealing with a variety of individuals
