Mechanical Design Engineer (Progression to Engineering Manager)

Are you a Mechanical Design Engineer that wants the opportunity to step up into an Engineering Management role where you will have full autonomy to build and manage the team in your own image, with full support from the senior leadership team to execute innovative ideas?

In this role you will be responsible for the management of the mechanical design team of 2, electrical control engineer, and supplier management. You will speak to new and existing clients to understand their requirements and use the resources around you to deliver the product to the highest standard.

The ideal candidate will have experience using AutoCAD and SolidWorks, from a mechanical design background and familiarity with the design of complex system that include gauges, valves, liquid lines etc and a want to progress your career into management.

The Role:

• Understand customer requirements for each bespoke build
• Oversea project delivery from inception to completion
• Use AutoCAD and SolidWorks to design cutting edge, temperature controlled storage and shipping containers
• Coach and mentor junior members of staff
• Discuss with senior management team members new innovative ideas of how you want to build your team

The Person:

• Design experience with AutoCAD and SolidWorks
• Comfortable leading a small design team
• Experience with the design of similar systems that have gauges, vales, sensors etc
