Intermediate to Senior Mechanical Design Engineer - Building Services / MEP

Location: Nottingham – Hybrid & Flexible Working

Salary: £35k - £60k

Role: Senior Mechanical Design Engineer / Building Services Design / Intermediate Mechanical Engineer

This intermediate or senior mechanical engineer role involves working as part of a building services design team delivering innovative solutions. Project types include healthcare, education, residential, commercial, industrial, pharmaceutical, zero carbon, and public sector projects.

Responsibilities

• As an Intermediate / Senior Mechanical Engineer, you will be a vital part of the team with a high degree of autonomy appropriate to your experience, with support as needed.
• Collaborate as part of a larger team on various projects.
• Attend meetings with clients and other construction professionals.
• Help generate repeat business through excellent customer care of existing clients.
• Work on a variety of technically challenging projects across different sectors.
• Produce drawings and specifications.
• Prepare calculations or guide others in their completion.

Experience & Qualifications

• Ideally hold a degree in Mechanical or Building Services Engineering, or HNC / HND with relevant design experience.
• Ideally be chartered or working towards chartership.
• Minimum of 2-4 years’ experience in building services design post-qualification.
• Experience with design software.
• Knowledge of British and European Standards, Building Regulations, and related documents.
• Enthusiasm for ongoing professional development.
