Job summary

Druck Ltd in Leicester is seeking an early-career Mechanical Design Engineer intern to join the Test & Calibration Instruments team. You will design complex instrumentation products and pressure controllers used in aerospace ground support, metrology, and high-volume testing, with guidance to grow into a confident decision-maker.

As part of the team, you will participate in design reviews, documentation, and manufacturing support, gaining exposure to the full development lifecycle and product

Qualifications

• Pursuing or holding a Mechanical Engineering degree.
• Solid understanding of CAD, tolerances and GD&T.
• Experience with manufacturing methods (DFM) is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Design and validate mechanical assemblies, fixturing and enclosures to customer specs and project deadlines.
• Create and release design documentation: drawings, hydraulic/pneumatic diagrams, system assemblies, user manuals.
• Contribute to FMEA and process mapping to identify risks and improve design outcomes.
• Provide manufacturing support and resolve production-related issues.
• Maintain high-quality technical data and documentation in line with policies.
