Job summary

Energy Jobline ZR is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer near Keighley to design and develop new mechanisms and machine systems for a leading manufacturing engineering company. The role involves new design creation or adaptation of existing designs, with an emphasis on ensuring compliance with client standards.

The ideal candidate will hold an HNC in Mechanical Engineering with demonstrable experience in mechanical design and CAD, including Siemens NX, and practical knowledge of SAP and MS

Qualifications

• Minimum HNC qualified in Mechanical Engineering.
• Experience with Siemens NX CAD software.
• Background in mechanical design and development.

Responsibilities

• Design and detailing of new components and mechanisms.
• Develop new processes and materials.
• Improve existing components/designs.
• Issue machine parts in SAP according to delivery schedules.
• Support technical bids with sales.
• Create and maintain customer documentation.
• Conduct DFMEA/PFMEA design reviews.

Job DescriptionDue to business growth, we are looking to recruit for a Mechanical Design Engineer for a leading manufacturing engineering company based near Keighley. This provides a rare opportunity to join a leading company who are a household name within their industry allowing you to gain exposure to a large variety of different disciplines. The main purpose of the role is to design and develop new mechanisms and machine systems to support client requirements. This may be new design creation or adaptation of existing designs. The ideal candidate will be a minimum HNC qualified in Mechanical Engineering with a demonstrable background in Mechanical Design. Hours - Monday - Friday 0745AM - 4PM (Flexitime available)

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and detailing of new components and mechanisms and systems
• Development of new processes including the use of new materials
• Development existing components / designs
• Issuing of machine parts in SAP in accordance with delivery schedules
• Liaising with sales to provide support for technical bids
• Creating customer documentation and creating /maintaining records to client standards
• Conduct Design reviews - DFMEA's/ PFMEA's

Qualifications & Skills:

• Minimum HNC Qualified in Electrical Engineering .
• Previous CAD Experience - Siemens NX is advantageous
• Demonstrable experinece in Mechanical Design
• Software Skills : MS Office,SAP, CAD software
