Job summary

Roundhouse Recruitment Ltd is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer for an aquatics-focused engineering company in the Manchester/Stockport area. The role offers hybrid working (2 days in the office, 3 days at home) and progression into senior management.

You will lead design work across fluid and heat transfer systems, produce BIM and CAD models, and ensure compliance with standards in a collaborative team environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in Mechanical Design, Building Services or BIM Design.
• Experience using Revit, AutoCAD or similar design software.
• Background in HVAC, Building Services, MEP, Pipework, Water Treatment or similar.
• Strong technical and problem-solving ability.
• Commutable to the Manchester / Stockport area twice per week.

Responsibilities

• Producing detailed mechanical and digital engineering designs.
• Work across complex fluid and heat transfer systems.
• Developing BIM, Revit and CAD models for specialist engineering projects.
• Coordinating designs with project delivery teams.
• Producing construction and manufacturing drawings.
• Ensuring designs comply with technical and regulatory standards.
• Hybrid working (Monday & Tuesday office, Wednesday to Friday from home).

Are you a Mechanical Design Engineer from a Building Services/ HVAC / BIM or similar background looking to join the UK's Leading Aquatic Engineering company in a Senior Design role offering hybrid working, genuine autonomy and clear progression into Management?
