Position: Mechanical Design Engineer

Location: Manchester

Overview: Highly competitive opportunity for a skilled professional in the construction sector. Join our client's team to provide top-notch technical support from the initial enquiry to post-handover.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Review enquiries/tenders and assist in developing solutions.
  2. Collaborate with partners on designs and equipment selections.
  3. Attend site visits for surveys and client meetings.
  4. Evaluate technical aspects of the supply chain.
  5. Return PQQs and create comprehensive documents.
  6. Attend meetings to build client confidence.
Requirements:
  1. Relevant building services degree.
  2. Previous experience in the construction sector.
  3. Strong IT skills.
  4. In-depth knowledge of the Mechanical HVAC industry (knowledge of electrical systems is a plus).
Pre-Contract Involvement:
  1. Prepare M&E tender/bid documents.
  2. Conduct technical reviews and identify risks.
  3. Attend site visits and client interviews.
Post-Contract Duties:
  1. Finalise MEP scope and detailed design/equipment selections with regard to cost and selection of supply chain partners.
  2. Attend client meetings and monitor project progress.
  3. Handle commissioning and client training.
