Mechanical Design Engineer (Full Project Lifecycle/ Mass Production)

This company is a global multinational business operating a range of business areas specializing in different products. Each department designs, tests, and manufactures in high volume, supplying customers worldwide. They have exciting growth and investment plans and are looking for an additional Mechanical Design Engineer to join the team.

In this position, you will be tasked with playing an active role in the design, development, and evaluation of a range of technical mechanical products. This is an exciting and varied position where you will be able to contribute across the full project lifecycle, including design stages, prototyping, testing, quality, and final production.

The role would suit engineers with experience in mechanical manufacturing-based industries such as automotive, home appliances, medical appliances, and oil & gas.

The Role:

1. Design, development, and evaluation of a range of technical state-of-the-art mechanical products.
2. Provide technical support through the product lifecycle.
3. Contribute to R&D and NPI for long-term large-scale production projects.
4. Testing, Quality Assurance, Project Management, and Delivery.

The Person:

1. Experience in mechanical manufacturing, mechanical appliances, mechanical mass-produced products, end-to-end design process.
2. Strong Mechanical CAD-based skills and background.
3. Looking to join a company where progression and development have no ceiling.
4. Commutable from Cardiff, Newport, Caerphilly, Nantgarw, Penarth, Pontyclun, Bedwas.
