Job summary

Jackie Kerr Recruitment Ltd seeks an experienced Mechanical Design Engineer in Carterton, Oxfordshire, to design and deliver complete products or subsystems. The role includes product development and improvements in response to regulatory changes, obsolescence, or customer performance feedback.

GBP45,000–GBP50,000 per year plus bonus and excellent benefits. Work with Product Management and the R&D team to define Product Briefs, design architectures, and DFMA-ready parts and drawings.

Qualifications

• Hands-on design for mass production from concept to volume manufacture.
• SolidWorks experience preferred; other CAD systems acceptable if willing to learn SolidWorks.
• Engineering/Physics/Mathematics degree or equivalent experience.
• Able to work independently and in a team.

Responsibilities

• Design and deliver complete products or subsystems.
• Create 3D models, drawings, and documentation for manufacture.
• Perform DFMA with production teams and suppliers.
• Conduct testing and compile action plans for issues.
• Maintain alignment with ISO 9001 quality processes.
