A leading engineering recruitment company seeks a Mechanical Design Engineer in Peterborough for a 12-month contract. You will lead design projects from concept to production, working with engines or powertrain design. Ideal candidates will have experience with Creo or similar CAD tools and are open to hybrid work arrangements requiring three days onsite. Competitive hourly rate of £45–50, inside IR35.

Mechanical Design Engineer (Engines/Powertrain)
Peterborough, Cambridgeshire
45 – 50 per hour (Umbrella) Inside IR35
12 month initial contract with long term extension opportunities

Excellent opportunity for a Design Engineer from a background working with engines or powertrain design who is looking for a senior role working on a range of innovative projects with a market leading business.

Do have experience taking products from concept design through to production? Are you looking for a varied role leading a team on state of the art projects?

This company are a truly multinational organisation who have an unrivalled reputation for the high quality of their products the world over. They have been established for 100 years and are continuing their expansion to this day. Due to their continued growth they are now looking to add to their specialist team.

In this role you will be working as part of an established team where you will be working on a range of projects from cradle to grave. You will be working to design new components as well as developing existing products. They use Creo as their design software but previous experience with similar 3D CAD packages will be considered. This role will be working 37 hours a week and allows for hybrid working but with a minimum requirement of three days a week on site.
