We are recruiting on behalf of a leading privately owned Building Services Consultancy for a permanent position as a Mechanical Design Engineer in their Nottingham office.

Role Overview: As a Mechanical Design Engineer, you will provide technical support and collaborate within a multidisciplinary team including Building Services Designers, Revit Technicians, Building Physicists, and Document Controllers.

You will be involved in various projects across different market sectors, from feasibility to detailed, fully coordinated designs for installation (RIBA stages 0 to 5).

Requirements: No formal qualifications are required, but relevant experience is essential. Professional membership is desirable. You should have proficiency with relevant industry design software, good time management and organizational skills, and the ability to work independently and in teams. Experience in delivering coordinated designs, understanding of current industry standards, and skills in supervising junior staff are also important. Other skills include client liaison, leading small teams, undertaking feasibility studies, preparing load calculations, and reviewing design drawings. Knowledge of industry standards, British Standards, and Building Regulations is necessary.
