Job summary

Humand Talent is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to design bespoke automation and manufacturing equipment across a variety of projects. You will drive the full design process from concept through to completion, working with a multidisciplinary team of engineers to deliver practical solutions.

Ideal candidates will have a mechanical engineering degree and proven experience in automation environments, using SolidWorks or equivalent CAD tools to produce precise drawings and documentation.

Qualifications

• Experience designing special-purpose machinery, automated equipment, or complex mechanical systems.
• Experience in mechanical design within automation, machinery or manufacturing environments.
• Proficiency with 3D CAD software (SolidWorks or similar).
• Producing accurate engineering drawings and manufacturing documentation.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities.
• Ability to work collaboratively in multidisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

• Design bespoke mechanical solutions for automated manufacturing equipment.
• Produce high-quality 3D CAD models, engineering drawings and manufacturing documentation.
• Develop mechanical assemblies incorporating pneumatic and motion systems.
• Specify and select components suitable for a range of engineering applications.
• Support concept development and customer design reviews.
• Collaborate with mechanical, electrical and controls engineers on multidisciplinary projects.
• Be involved in equipment build, testing and commissioning activities.
• Develop your technical expertise while working on varied and challenging engineering projects.
