Mechanical Design Engineer (Aerospace)

Salary: 48,000 – 52,000 + Progression + Software Training + Days Only + On Site Parking
Location: Hertford

Are you a mechanical design engineer with experience in aerospace looking to join a well–established company, which provides a variety of solutions to the defence industry, that offers progression and a day's only role?

Are you experienced in a precision engineering environment and looking to join a company that offers software training to develop your design skills?

This company was established three and a half decades ago and since then has become a front runner in weapon mounts for military uses. Catering for vehicles of land, sea and air, the company can offer bespoke solutions for small and medium calibre firearms mounts.

In this role, the suitable candidate will be expected to produce technical reports on projects to provide transparency on the process interdepartmentally and to clients. You will need to produce drawings, then 2D and 3D models of the products.

The Role:
  • 8:30 – 4:30 Monday – Friday
  • Work cohesively in a team of 5 other designers to assist in the development of products
  • Produce technical reports to maintain transparency in the manufacturing process
  • Follow the ISO:9001 standard with all products and processes within the business
  • Produce drawings and then develop 2D and 3D CAD renderings of products to assist the manufacturing process
The Person:
  • Experience in a similar role
  • Experience with SolidWorks
  • Comfortable working in a precision engineering environment
