Job summary

Bennett and Game Recruitment LTD is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer in Sheffield to join a disciplined engineering team. You will design and review assemblies, run 3D CAD models, perform calculations and prepare documentation for customers and auditors.

The role involves on-site support for installation and tensioning activities, close collaboration with project, quality and site teams, and a strong emphasis on structural and engineering applications.

Qualifications

• Engineering degree or equivalent with practical design experience.
• Experience creating/reading 3D models and detailed drawings.
• On-site support experience and welding knowledge is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Produce and review mechanical designs and drawings for structural applications.
• Create and modify 3D CAD models and assemblies using SolidWorks or similar tools.
• Carry out fundamental mechanical calculations and assess load paths.
• Support site installation and tensioning activities and prepare documentation.
• Collaborate with engineering, project, quality and site teams on testing and welding requirements.
