Job summary

3D CAD, Mechanical Design Engineer role in Stevenage seeking an experienced designer to take concepts through to production. You will perform 3D and 2D mechanical design, liaise with clients and suppliers, and ensure projects meet timing plans.

Candidates should have at least 3 years of 3D CAD experience (Solid Edge preferred) and FEA exposure, plus an HNC or Degree in Mechanical Engineering. Experience in the pressing industry and/or plastics is advantageous. Salary £25k–£35k, permanent role.

Qualifications

• 3D CAD and 2D mechanical design experience required.
• FEA experience desired.
• Experience liaising with clients and suppliers is important.

Responsibilities

• Perform 3D and 2D mechanical design from concept to production.
• liaise with clients and suppliers to ensure on-time delivery.
• Produce detailed reports and assist with cost of manufacture.
