What will you be doing?

Are you a Mechanical Design Engineer ready to make your mark in the defence and automotive sectors? Collaborate with a cross-functional team to deliver robust mechanical solutions that meet stringent performance and safety requirements. Your main responsibilities will be:

• Proven experience in mechanical design engineering, preferably in land defence or automotive.
• Strong proficiency in SolidWorks for 3D modelling and 2D drafting.
• Experience with vehicle integration/modification projects.
• Ability to perform basic structural hand calculations.
• Knowledge of manufacturing processes and material selection for mechanical systems.
• Experience designing or adapting mechanical components for ruggedised or armoured vehicles.
• Good understanding of tolerancing, GD&T, and design for manufacture (DFM).
• Excellent communication, documentation, and collaboration skills.

Experience, skills and qualifications required:

• Experience with SolidWorks PDM and Visualize.
• Familiarity with 3D scan data to CAD workflows.
• Working knowledge of ISO 8015, BS 308, BS 3643, and BS 499 standards.
• Exposure to defence standards or MoD engineering practices.
• Prior experience in Automotive, Aerospace or Defence sectors is essential.
• Must be BPSS clearable
